Moving on to the 2nd half of the year

ww

It is almost the middle of the year and as usual I am preparing for my return trip to the UK. Before I leave Tobago I shall be facilitating my next book discussion group, no 5. An audience with Dr Isha.

I completed two paintings and worked on several poems during my stay, and I am looking forward to reading at 'Poet’s Corner', a local open mic event, when I get back.

Tobago festival events have begun with a jazz weekend at the Magdalena grand hotel & Golf Resort. I shall have to miss these as finances are low and the cost of airline flights have gone up due to the war and the fuel crisis. I am leaving Tobago with hope that I can return here ASAP.

I am looking forward to seeing my family and one of my sons who has recently come out of hospital again. Also another great-grandchild will be born next month and there is one new great gran that I have not met yet .

I will be able to attend some live events going on during the British summer and a live, in person book launch of ‘Black men Trauma and Therapy’. I've just attended the online launch of this book and I felt privileged to witness the stories of black men. I was humbled and deeply moved by the honesty and transparency of presentations from some of the authors.

I love spring in the UK, I am looking forward to being in my Folkestone home, and I hope that I will be blessed with sunshine over there, so that I can continue with my early walks.
